HDB counts your MOP from the legal completion date of your flat purchase; for a new flat, that is usually when you collected your keys. Check it on MyHDBPage. Leave it blank if you only want the email about the first resale in your block.

Questions people ask

How is my MOP month worked out?

Five years from the legal completion date of your flat purchase, or ten for a Prime, Plus or PLH flat. For a new flat that is usually when you collected your keys. HDB's own record on MyHDBPage is the authority for your flat, and every email says so.

What can I do once my MOP ends?

For most flats, HDB's rules allow you to sell on the open market or rent out the whole flat, subject to HDB's eligibility conditions. Prime, Plus and PLH flats carry stricter rules: after their ten-year MOP they can be sold only to buyers who meet HDB's eligibility conditions, with a subsidy recovery, and the whole flat cannot be rented out.

Why three emails at most?

The alert tells you two dates and one event: three months before your MOP, your MOP month, and the first resale in your block. An email every time a flat in your block sells, a Flatworth Estimate every month and a quarterly report are Flat Watch, the paid plan.
